Frederic Noel Kogoui Kamta was a Ph.D candidate working in the Research Group on Climate Change and Security (CLISEC) at Hamburg University. His Doctoral research supervised by Prof. Dr. Jürgen Scheffran and Co-supervised by Jun. Prof. Dr. Janpeter Schilling focused on the impact of climate change and Conflict-induced migration on land use and natural resources in North-East Nigeria and North Cameroon.
He previously graduated a master degree in Environmental Health at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in South Africa. His thesis focused on the mixture toxicity of metals in the environment. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Geosciences at the University of Yaoundé 1 in Cameroon, a Bachelor of Technology in Environmental Management at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology and a Bachelor Honors in Environmental Monitoring and Modeling at the University of South Africa. In 2016, he worked for six months at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) where he assisted the Science and Review sub-programme on issues related to the Global Stocktake (GST) as defined by the Paris Agreement.
