Janina Bornemann received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Geography at the University of Bremen and also studied at the University of New Caledonia (Université de la Nouvelle-Calédonie). She wrote her bachelor thesis about "Causes and Effect of Migration after Hurricane Katrina". Janina is currently enrolled in the masters program „Global Transformations and Environmental Change“ of the department of Geography at the University of Hamburg.
