Josep Osorio studied Civil Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), and recently completed a Master’s Degree in "Water Resources: Interdisciplinary Analysis and Sustainable Management" at the University of Barcelona. His thesis focused on the analysis of water scarcity in small coral islands of Indonesia.

Currently Josep is a researcher at the Climate Service Center Germany and a PhD candidate at CLISEC. His thesis focuses on modeling the implications of climate change and human impact on sediment yield in rivers through two case studies in Mexico and South Africa.
