Leonard Borchert has been a student of the Master's program "Integrated Climate System Sciences" of CliSAP at Universität Hamburg. He worked on his Master’s Thesis at the Research Group Climate Change and Security, supervised by Prof. Jürgen Scheffran. Also, he worked as a student assistant in the same research group.
Leonard's research focuses on the effects of deliberate human interference with the climate system, also called Geo- or Climate-Engineering, on nature and society. In his thesis, he discusses and compares natural, societal, and economic implications of geoengineering to allow an integrated view of the matter.
