John Elflein earned his BA in Psychology from Temple University at the campus in Tokyo, Japan in 2010. He lived in South Korea for a year after graduating and then moved to Hamburg to further his studies. John started the Master of Peace and Security Studies at IFSH last fall. He is currently writing his masters thesis at CLISEC under the supervision of Prof. Scheffran. His thesis is about the energy security and climate security discourses of Spain and Morocco.
